Why Campus Dakota is Free

You may have wondered why Campus Dakota offers itself to students and other members of the academic community at no charge. The simple answer is because offering the things we do is part of our Purpose, Mission, Vision, Core Values, and Beliefs.

We created Campus Dakota to serve the students and we don't think this should cost anything. That's why our services are free.

We feel that what we do and all of the services we offer will help the college students in North and South Dakota... that's why we do it! It's actually quite simple and straightforward.

Campus Dakota was born out of the desire of a few students to help other students; to serve the students in ways that were not available before. By simply using Campus Dakota and telling your friends, you are helping us accomplish this goal. After all, being students ourselves we know how college life is and how it can be improved.

Campus Dakota costs money to run, including fees for domain names, web-hosting space, publicity materials, and other things, but we recognized this when we started. We do accept donations to help pay for all of those things, if you are interested please contact us via email at webmaster@campusdakota.com or send us postal mail at our address.

I bet you are wondering how you can help us. There are several easy ways:

- Use Campus Dakota; post on the message board, and tell us how we can improve.
- Tell your friends about Campus Dakota. The more students who use the site, the better we can serve everyone.
- Join our team! Yep, we are looking for help. Click on that link for more info. You don't have to have any special skills, just a willingness to help make life better for students!
- If you're feeling really generous, we won't say "no" to donations (money, server space, food, etc.).
