Message Board RSS Links

July 28, 2008 by Sal Atticum

You may notice some new icons all over the Board Index on the Campus Dakota message board. These little orange pips are links to the RSS feed for each board--so if there's a particular board you want to keep an eye on, you can just add that link to your RSS Reader and have the newest posts brought right to you!

July 24, 2008 by Sal Atticum

That's right, we've surpassed 10,000 posts on the Campus Dakota message board! Post #10,000 was made by Toaster in one of the Group Membership Boards, but it most definitely counts! Toaster, you win the beverage of your choice next time we end up somewhere there are beverages to be purchased!

Now for some stats to keep you all in the posting mood.

Campus Dakota Update (23/07/2008)

July 23, 2008 by Sal Atticum

Contrary to rumors that the CD team sits around all day and eats cheetos while playing Halo, we do actually get something done occasionally. Many of the things we work on probably don't have a major effect on your lives, but we hope they enhance your experience at Campus Dakota. This post (and more in the future) is just to let everyone know what we've been up to lately, what tweaking we've been doing, and what (potentially) could be causing any bugs or error messages you see (which should be reported as soon as possible to webmaster@campusdakota.com).

Tech Tuesday: Episode 6

July 8, 2008 by pmp6nl

Nearly everyone has a favorite TV show or type of show, but not everyone is able to watch them on TV for various reasons. Well the internet once again has our back allowing us to watch many TV shows at our convenience.

Within this article I outline several websites that host current and old TV shows, these website vary from official network websites to websites that have official partnerships with those that own the content. While there is not one website that offers every show you may want, hopefully this listing will cover most of your TV needs.

3rd Party Websites

Hulu
Hulu offers videos from over 50 content providers including NBC, MGM, and Warner Bros.
While Hulu does offer some full length TV episodes, much of its content is made up of video clips.

Veoh
Veoh is another service that offers TV content, though like Hulu most of its offerings are clips as opposed to full length episodes. It should be noted that much of the content on the site is actually linked from other sites.

Joost
Joost is similar to the other sites listed, but offers shows not available on the other sites. Of note Joost "requires" you to download their player to watch the videos. Channels can be created and Joost is a bit more focused on tying "social networking" to the whole online TV thing.

UND Welcomes President Robert O. Kelley

July 7, 2008 by Sal Atticum

Last week, UND welcomed Dr. Robert O. Kelley as its new president. It will be interesting to see where he leads the university in the next few years.

What questions do you have for Dr. Kelley? I'm hoping to get an interview with him at some point this Summer or Fall in order to let the student body get to know him better. Please add your questions to the comments on this article!
